Boomer customers leave $65 to cover $68 bill, scurry out before management can catch them: ‘Never seen boomers move so fast’

I get it, everything is expensive nowadays. You can hardly walk outside without spending $60. And it doesn’t seem to be getting any better. Prices keep rising, and wages are staying the same. It’s an impossible situation, and one that almost all of us can relate to. So we might feel like there is less we can afford to do out in the world. Dining out might be one of those things, so we might be cutting back. It’s the unfortunate truth, but what’s the alternative? Dining and dashing? I don’t think so.

That didn’t stop one group of diners from putting their server in an especially uncomfortable spot. Either out of pure ignorance or lack of care, they didn’t manage to cover the full extent of their dinner bill, let alone leave a tip. And while 20% is common courtesy, these people ended up with a negative balance. And when it came time to bring them to justice, they ran for the hills. But the server was left wondering what they should do in that situation. Was it their fault?
