Siblings who go through a tough childhood together and come out stronger on the other side tend to be overly protective of each other. They grew up in the same household, and they understand each other better than anyone else. It shouldn’t surprise anyone that they would do anything for each other.

That is exactly how the older brother in the story below feels towards his little sister. He has been raising her since she was 8 years old, for his entire twenties. He has become a father figure for her, and he loves her just as such. So when his baby sister turned 18 and his wife started asking questions about her moving out, the brother became protective. Why would he ever want to kick his sister out, and why would his wife, who does nothing to contribute to the household, demand such a thing? 

This conversation quickly led to a full argument between the wife and husband, who couldn’t see eye to eye when it comes to the teenager living with them.
