Client presentation saved by an intern after the employee in charge unexpectedly calls in sick, company rewards intern: ‘A quiet acknowledgment through my bank account’

When you’re an intern, your main objective from your internship is to gain experience and make connections that would help you find a real job in the future. Everyone knows that being an intern is not about the money, it’s about the work, and even though many workplaces have no problem putting their interns to work, sometimes without letting them see the light of day, it could very well be worth it eventually.

At my first internship, I was writing 3 Facebook posts a day for a well-known non-profit organization that worked in my town. They obviously couldn’t pay me, but they taught me a lot about writing, and a lot about social media, and that knowledge is what led me to find my first job in content creation… And look at me now!

Interns might not be the first people to get recognized, but if you find yourself in the right company, working for the right people, they can truly lift you up if they think you are worth it, and that is exacly the story of the intern below.
