Have you ever been to jury duty? It usual requires your entire day, minimum! If you actually get chosen, buckle in for an even longer process! That’s usually why so many people try to get out of it. That, and usually you don’t end up being the jury for some TV room drama. It’s usually something really boring… Though, the one time I got called in, I finished my book before they announced that the case was settled, so we could leave. So really, I had a paid excuse to skip work and read all day. So, in my opinion, it was a pretty good day. 

But, I digress, I definitely did not want to get chosen for a jury. I can hardly make the right decision on what to eat for lunch, now they want me to decide a person’s future?! No thank you. So when this woman blurted out the first excuse to pop into her head AND it actually worked?! Crazy. We love it!
