For many Zoomers, the endless sandbox of Minecraft honorably took that role. While games like these still have their moments, there has been a new contender on the block for the past few years. Roblox has become the place to be for Gen Alpha.

The online platform is more than just a plain old time sink. It can be used to create all kinds of games and even to host events, attended by users with their own personalized avatars. In a way, it’s like a combination of Second Life and all the mini games they used to have on Neopets, if those games involved shooting things. As queen Emily Montes once said, ‘Roblox is my life / I play all day and night’. It’s hard to argue with that, and these memes would agree.
