In a life where frequent small delights are a vital part of making it worth living, cats really do the most to help us in this matter. All they have to do is exist around us, be their adorable and silly selves, and maybe pay us a little attention now and then, and they can increase our mood and will to live tenfold.

The most obvious way in which they do this is by encountering them in real life, whether we get the opportunity to pet a random kitty on the street or we have one (or many) in our homes to keep us company. As a backup, though, it is nice to have cat memes, which can give us our feline fix whether it is easily accessible or not. They are always finding new ways to present to us humor that is centered around our favorite species, and for that, we have to be grateful.
