Being a parent requires a pretty loaded skill-set. That shouldn’t discourage anyone who wants to have children though, because a lot of these skills if you didn’t have them before, you’ll notice yourself developing them pretty early on. For instance, if you struggle with your sense of humor, you’ll soon notice that you need to laugh at your children if you want to keep your sanity at a regular level because they can be ruthless and humor truly is the only way to deal with them sometimes. It’s also good to have a whole lot of patience because, if you haven’t hung out with kids for extended periods of time, you might not know that they can take a long time to do and/or say a little. So our patience levels always have to be in check.
