No matter the age, gamers are all just kids. For whatever reason a gamer picks up a controller at the end of the day, whether they’re trying to unwind, socialize, or dominate online, ultimately gamers all want the same thing: To play. 

Video games are one of the most popular forms of entertainment nowadays, and because of that, the industry has seen exponential growth and diversification. Gamer archetypes have become so vastly different, that it’s hard to believe that a Nintendo aficionado would have anything in common with someone who plays horror games, but oddly enough, the childlike fascination with gaming has imbibed a common thread in the souls of every gamer. Silliness and utter buffoonery in a video game will always manage to spark joy for all types of gamers, despite their tastes, affinities, or goals with their gameplay. 

If a glitchy NPC spasms in a funny way during a cut-scene, you better believe every gamer is laughing at it, and that playful spirit is the lifeblood of the entire gaming community.
