The Hooters waitress was recently featured on the Instagram of MMA fighter Kareem Kobe Kline, but not for reasons she was happy about. The post shows a short clip of her in her uniform handing him something. The caption implied that he had rejected her after she tried to give him her number, when in reality she had been offering him a flyer. After pointing this out in the comments, she then made a video to call out the lie.

Many viewers were unimpressed with the audacity of his post, which has since been taken down. Some of Kline’s fans had defended him, claiming that it was meant humorously. However, others pointed out how he had been agreeing with commenters who had taken the post seriously. Although the entire thing might have been intended as a throwaway joke, it definitely had some unintended consequences.
