It takes a certain type of person to work in any customer service job. You need to know how to turn on the charm, and you have to be extremely resilient in the face of douchebags. While many of us will work in roles like these at certain times in our lives, it’s not for everyone — and if we take a break and then return, the whole thing can seem even more unbearable.

This is something that one TikToker found out the hard way. After spending several years working a corporate job, she got laid off. Following several months of unemployment, she decided to return to being a server. Although this was a role she had over a decade of experience in, she lasted a total of one shift before she felt the need to quit. 

Citing how much worse customers seemed to be, viewers were sympathetic to her opinion. Entitlement is an exhausting thing to deal with.
