At this point, we are all aware that restaurant work can be pretty unforgiving. Those long hours and busy shifts take their toll whether you’re in the kitchen or front of house, but it’s those customer facing roles that deal with the most when it comes to the general public. Servers are not shy about telling stories from their job on the internet, and with good reason: they’ve dealt with a lot of BS. 

At the same time, it would be unfair to discredit their partners in crime. Hosts have a seemingly minimal role in the restaurant to some, seeing as their job is all about seating people. However, that couldn’t be further from the truth. These staff are integral in maintaining order to the place, and they endure plenty of annoying behavior from customers too. This has been underlined in a recent TikTok, where both video and comment section complained about the unreasonable demands that diners placed on hosts. It costs $0 to not be like this.
