Incredulous Twitter User Slammed For Questioning People Who Like Working From Home

Ever since we started that innocent two-week stint of staying at home in 2020, the discourse surrounding the merits and negatives of working from home. While I obviously hate Covid-19, working from home has been a godsend. I can work while petting my cats, take breaks to do HIIT workouts, and make my own lunch, which is invariably healthier than whatever crap I’d be ordering in to eat at my desk. Then there’s the issue of the commute. I spend 2+ hours getting to and from my office. Am I paid for it? No. Am I too tired to do much of anything once I’m home? Absolutely.

While I am intimately aware of the benefits of remote working, it’s true that some people prefer to head into the office. And that’s not a crime. I’ll admit that on the days I go in, I get a bit more of a workout thanks to that NYC commute. I totally get wanting to switch up your environs and create a separation of work and home. You don’t see me questioning those folks. I have respect for differing opinions. Unlike Twitter user @rightsrobin, who ruffled peoples feathers by expressing disbelief that people may not want to work from an office.

Twitter users were quick to defend the practice, citing the reasons why working from home is a boon to their quality of life and mental health. We’ve included their reasons, along with a few healthy dissents, but want to know – do you think working from home was a mistake? Or are you with us?
