Married couple asks their 30-year-old roommate to leave the apartment for a week so they can have a «staycation» while their kid is at his grandparents: ‘They want me to stay at their parent’s house’

Most people have roommates during a very particular time in their lives. College students have to share a room with a complete stranger in their first year. This person will either be their future best friend, a fatal enemy, or a distant memory. In later collegiate years, having roommates not only makes your off-campus apartment rent cheaper but also makes it much easier to throw big ragers!

As life marches on, fewer and fewer people in your age group will have roommates. In NYC, where arrested development is all the rage, a non-negligible group of people have multiple roommates into their mid to late thirties, but most people grow out of the roommate life once they get into a long-term relationship or make enough money to live comfortably on their own. Having a roommate can be fun, but it’s not always as fun as an episode of Laverne & Shirley makes it out to be.
