People Share What It’s Like To Have Children They Don’t Want in This Intense Thread

As much as my spoiled ass complains about my childhood trauma, I could never ever claim that I was an unwanted child. Despite the fact that my worst bully told me my parents wished I wasn’t born. Nothing could be further from the truth. I’ve read my mom’s diaries where she yearned for kids, and felt surprised that my city-dwelling father wanted to procreate right out of college. Unfortunately, this isn’t a universal experience.

Redditor u/SniperGlizzy took to Twitter and asked people who had children they didn’t actually want to share their experience. Quite a few stepped up to this solemn plate – and some people who were the unwanted children decided to chime in, too. While this is far from a happy thread, it’s nice to see people being honest about the trials and tribulations of having to raise (or being expected to raise) kids.  It’s also a window into how well-adjusted people can be after years of struggling with their parents not caring for them. If you’re in the mood for this kind of intensity, read on.
