Alongside the inescapable Eurodance parody song, the plane lady freakout has been the viral video that has dominated everyone’s feeds this summer. When Tiffany Gomas was filmed on an American Airlines flight insisting «that motherf***er is not real», millions jumped on the chance to speculate about what she saw at the back of that plane.

Having inspired countless memes and plenty of discussion, the identity of this irate woman remained a mystery for quite some time. She was eventually identified in late July, but it has taken until now for her to release a public statement. 

On Sunday, the Dallas resident and marketing manager took to Twitter to share a video apologizing for her behavior. The response was huge, but many felt that her reappearance in the public eye had created more questions than answers.
