Would you travel hundreds of miles just to quit your job?
What lengths would you go to for your job? What about after you told them you quit? When you leave a position, you might be expected to help out a little along the way. You might be asked to help with the transition to the next person by making a list of what you do and helping move over your tasks to the next person. But you’re on your way out, and they should know that. It wouldn’t be smart to expect too much of you, given you’re already one foot out the door. You’ve given your notice, which is really just a courtesy because you could drop off the face of the Earth tomorrow. All to say, there is a line you can draw between what you’re willing to do and what you’re not.
