If you’ve lived anywhere where citizens are entirely car-dependent, you know that people love buying massive, expensive cars they don’t need. I grew up in Texas, and every road, route, and street was packed with ginormous pickup trucks. Most of the people who bought these gas guzzlers did not have them because they needed to haul a great deal of equipment around. Instead, it’s more of a status thing. You’re a bigger man if you have a bigger car than a guy who drives a Toyota Camry, and that’s how things are in many places throughout the United States. 

On a different but related front, there’s been a recent uptick in women who live in suburban areas becoming increasingly afraid of crime. If you’ve been on TikTok in the past two years, you’ve likely seen a video of a woman advising others how to avoid getting sex-trafficked in Walmart parking lots. The people making these videos do not live in areas with high crime rates, so it’s baffling why they’re so paranoid.

These two phenomena emerged unprecedentedly in a recent viral TikTok video featuring a mom advertising a new vehicle. The car is called the Rezvani Vengence. It has various insane features like bulletproof windows, blinding lights to ward off people following the car, and a squirting device that can squirt pepper spray at attackers.
