This week, our animal memes are going to focus on the animal of the hour…the one and only Easter Bunny! I am not sure why we’ve chosen a bunny to represent festivities surrounding the resurrection of Jesus, but I’m sure there’s a reason out there! South Park did an episode about this very quandary, and the best they could come up with was that Saint Peter was actually a rabbit…Peter Rabbit. Honestly, that’s better than any theory I can surmise, so I»ll go with that for now. 

Easter bunnies are one of those characters that are terrifying when an adult man dresses up as one. My grandpa had an adult-sized bunny costume, and it’s a miracle that I didn’t run out of the room screaming every time I saw him with it. Santa Claus is a man, and I don’t think it’s a good idea to repeat his formula of meeting children with other animals.
