Hugh Jackman is no stranger to good, prestigious acting. I honestly think his performance in Logan could’ve yielded him a Best Actor nomination, as it was just as good, if not better, than his performance in Les Misérables. But the fact that Marvel is campaigned him for Best Supporting Actor and Ryan Reynolds for Best Actor at the 2025 Oscars is borderline absurd. If studios have enough money, they’ll submit all their movies for the Academy Awards, but that one was just plain silly. I can guarantee they did not submit Dakota Johnson for Best Actress for her legendary performance in Madame Web, and as a Madame Web truther, that deeply saddens me. Marvel sought revenge for Angela Basset’s Best Supporting Actress loss, but unfortunately, they won’t get it this year.
