Helicopter parents are such an interesting breed and far more common than you’d think! I’m not talking about parents who want their kids to call them every day or share their location, although those are admittedly some markers of helicopter parents. I’m talking about the moms who have to call their adult sons every morning to ensure they’ve woken up and gone to class. These moms regularly check their adult children’s grades on the university portal throughout the school year as if they were middle schoolers on academic probation. For some reason, they just can’t let their children be independent adults and have this desire to baby them through university.
