For better or for worse, there are millions of people out there today who feel that the best way they can express themselves is through posting on a short-form video app.

There are benefits to it; it is easy to get the hang of, there is the potential to reach an audience who may really relate, and with a little creativity, there are plenty of tweaks to be made that can ensure these thoughts are extra engaging. One of the benefits of living in the internet age is that we have started to realize that deep down, we are all just about as weird as each other (with a few notable exceptions who are extra horrifyingly weird). While some may argue that we should all know less about one another, there is a comfort in so many letting their freak flag fly.

We also have to admit that the fact that TikTok has encouraged a vocal minority to open up and spew their thoughts and feelings for engagement is mighty entertaining. There is a reason that people complain of the clock app being so addictive, and a large part of that is the endless scroll designed to serve us up more and more funny tidbits.
