Every day, the internet throws up some good arguments in favor of the much-memed New York Times Op-Ed headline We Should All Know Less About Each Other. A downside to this, though, is that we wouldn’t get half as much interesting content from the home of social media oversharing, TikTok. The clock app has many people debating whether there is still such a thing as a digital footprint, seeing as so many of its users choose to disregard it. The upside is that it gives us hours on end of free entertainment, and that is no bad thing (if we don’t think too critically about it, that is). Supposing that we don’t want to get sucked in to the endless scroll quite so often, it’s good to supplement it with a few of the highlights instead. One thing that has to be said about TikTok is that it never fails to surprise.
