Who’s already hyped up to see Sunrise on the Reaping?

We have a trailer, we have a premiere date, and now we have a preview of the album. The Hunger Games franchise is known for featuring amazing artists for its soundtracks. It happened with Taylor Swift, Lorde, and Olivia Rodrigo. All of them wrote and performed songs, especially inspired by the movies, that were included on the official soundtrack, and they all did amazing jobs. 

For a franchise that has nothing to do with musicals, music ends up being quite an important part of the storytelling. For Katniss, it was the lullaby she sang to her sister and the «Hanging Tree» song. For Lucy Gray, music was a part of who she was and what ultimately saved her life (in a way). For these characters, music was a part of their rebellion against an unfair system that gave them no space or opportunity to protest against the evil. When they sing, it’s not just an artistic moment; it is an act of war. It’s only natural that the next movie will include at least one character who uses music as a weapon, and of course it will have one heck of a soundtrack.

When seeing the announcement, people on Twitter went crazy about it. They started giving the names of all the artists that they want to hear on the album. Some who were mentioned a lot were Noah Kahan, Hozier, Florence and the Machine, Lana Del Rey, and Olivia Rodrigo. Some people were even asking for Rachel Zegler to come back to sing in this movie. While we still don’t have confirmation of which artists will feature on the album, we know it has the potential to be great, especially because we’ll be getting new versions of songs we’ve heard before, such as «Deep in the Meadow» and «The Old Therebefore.» We can’t wait anymore, so they’d better realease ot soon!
