Welcome back, lovers of all things Tolkien-related, and a belated happy new year. At this time, we often see discussions about how we often overestimate the ways in which a change in the date will change our lives, seeing as most of us end most years feeling broadly the same as when we started them. This is often framed as something dull and miserable, but sometimes it can be a good thing. 

With Lord of the Rings memes, it’s definitely a good thing. Year in and year out we can trust them to bring the same high caliber of humor, forever finding new and amusing ways to approach the timeless fantasy epic.
