Good day, Lord of the Rings fans. Here’s a crazy factoid for you: across the written works of J. R. R. Tolkien that use this universe, there are apparently 982 different characters. That’s an obscene level of dedication to worldbuilding and lore, that clearly has produced a fandom devoted enough to figure these things out. 

It’s true, lovers of all things Middle Earth are a bunch of people with powerful minds. You have to be to keep up with everything that goes on there. They also love memes, which we’re eternally grateful for. Never mind that there is no new content on the horizon, Tolkien fans can still make some mighty hilarious internet pictures out of the movies and books that they’ve got.
