When we think about the people of Great Britain, the stereotype isn’t exactly glamorous. Pallid complexions and busted teeth do not a pretty picture make. This isn’t to say that British people uniformly unattractive, but compared to the glossiness of American Hollywood beauty standards they can seem off-brand, somehow. 

In that case, perhaps it’s fitting that the UK is home to some of the world’s most bizarre celebrity ‘lookalikes’. If we’re being generous, some of the people who advertise their services as a famous person dupe kind of look like who they’re supposed to, but it’s hard to take them seriously. 

This has been the basis of a recent Twitter thread that has found entertainment in searching up some of the wildest examples of individuals who sell themselves as famous lookalikes. They raise some interesting questions, like who told these people they looked like them, and is being a Hitler impersonator really appropriate? Mostly, though, they are very funny to look at.
