Wedding RSVPs are serious business.
It’s not just like a party that you rsvp yes to and then blow off at the last minute because you don’t feel like going. It’s a bigger deal than that. People spend a lot of money to make sure their big day is exactly what they imagined. There is a lot of planning and money that goes into it that changes drastically with the amount of people coming. You can’t expect the couple in question to drop everything to accommodate your needs. It’s their wedding, after all, and they’re in control of who comes and who doesn’t. The man in question here, whose story was shared on the AITAH subreddit, was a good example of what not to do when you’re invited to a wedding.
