Personally, I adore my birthday…Does that make me self-centered? No…it just makes me a sucker for a good celebration!

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with enjoying an array of balloons and making everyone go around the room, one by one, explaining their exact reasons for enjoying your presence on earth (in great detail). 

But hey, that doesn’t mean it’s for everyone. Some like to treat their birthdays as if it’s just another Tuesday…and maybe if one year, they’re feeling a little extra ambitious, a Friday. But just because they don’t want to be celebrated, doesn’t mean their family and friends don’t want to celebrate them! Meaning, that within some families, birthday months can be more tense than in others…With the «you should do this» suggestions or the «but it’s one day a year» persuasions. 

But the real birthday-haters won’t give in, remaining strong in their declination of a big bash. 

However, you will still get certain family members who will choose to directly ignore that declination. Making your birthday the exact opposite of how you envisioned spending it. Introducing: This big sister! A lover of big, bold birthday gestures and inviting her sister’s ex-boyfriend to her (unwanted) surprise party! An attempt at reconciling the young couple…because everyone loves little Joshy, except her sister!
