Considering that most of us have to spend so much time and energy on being there, work should really be a much nicer experience than it often is. Sure, it is important to be challenged sometimes, and not all hard work happens in vain, but for these things to flourish, companies should be putting a lot more effort into the whole employee experience side of things (more than the occasional pizza party, anyway).

As it stands, the majority of employers are not really doing that. The upside of this is that it gives all workers even more of an excuse to indulge in the transgressive humor of work memes.
