Is summer really summer when you’re a parent?

Remember when you were young and school was out for the summer? You were free! You could do whatever you wanted to do. Your parents? Pfft, you’re the captain now! Oh, but now you’re grown, and you’re the parent… How the tables have turned. Now, your summers are filled with figuring out what to do with your kids. Are they ready for sleep-away summer camp? What are the grandparents doing and can they watch them? How much PTO do you have left? What vacation can you afford that will also actually be relaxing with the family? Is that even possible?!
