As the seminal band LMF*O (if you know you know) once said, «Sorry for party rocking.» Surely, though, they were being facetious in their apology, since party rocking is all they know how to do. Party rocking means bringing the party to any given situation at any given time. You know how to turn a moment from drab to fab, with a little shuffling, some wub wub music, and a will to get things going.
The Atlantic just published an article with the headline, «Americans Need to Party More.» I couldn’t be more in agreement. We need to let loose, cut a rug, dance with our friends, and make new friends in the process. Partying can mean a lot of things, though. It doesn’t have to mean cocktails and a discotheque, it can mean mini golf and milkshakes. It can mean sitting around reading Hamlet with a group of pals. It can mean cranking mid-2010s pop in your living room and dancing it out.
