Parents don’t always have the answers. They’re just grown-up kids, like anyone else. Sure, they have a little more experience under their belts, but there’s no magical time in an adult’s life when they start knowing everything. When you’re a kid, though, it seems like adults have access to all the knowledge in the universe. You can tell, because they’re always asking them questions. Everything from «Why is the sky blue» to «Why do you have too many lines on your face, Mom?»
They want to know everything and anything under the sun. And this is a good thing. They’re curious, and we should be encouraging them to stay curious forever. But it can get frustrating when you don’t have the answers. You can do your best to make an educated guess or point them in the right direction, but they might want and expect you to know everything right now.
