It’s almost the Fourth of July, parents, which means a couple of things for you. Your kids are off of school and you’ve been spending the whole summer so far trying to keep them from getting sunburnt and trying to entertain them as best as you can. Maybe you even sent them to summer school so you wouldn’t have to worry about it.
But now one of our country’s major holidays is upon us and the kids need an activity. But your youngest is afraid of fireworks, your oldest really wants to set off fireworks with his sketchy friends, and you just wanna have a hot dog in peace. But being a parent is not about achieving peace. Maybe it’ll come to you in rare moments, but usually, peace just means the 45 minutes after your kids are asleep before you conk out watching Is It Cake on Netflix.
