25+ of the Funniest Shower Thoughts of the Month for Deep Thinkers (February 9, 2025)

When it’s so cold and yucky out like it is in my part of the world, a shower is one of the only things that can make you feel better again. A nice, hot shower not only gives you a chance to reset cleanliness-wise, but it also gives you a chance to get your body temperature back up. If you get a chill that feels like it goes all the way to your bones, one of the only things that works is soaking yourself in screaming hot water. It feels like a hug that takes away all your problems. 

I know there are so many people who extoll the value of cold showers, cold plunges and other vaguely self-hating practices, and I hear them. I’m sure the minute you get out of the cold plunge it feels like you’ve accomplished something great. And I’m sure it helps you develop discipline and brown fat or whatever it is those people say it helps with. But I am far too attached to my hot showers to let them go.
