I love «The Sopranos.» Many, myself included, would call it the launch of a new age of television. Without Tony Soprano we wouldn’t have Don Draper, Walter White, Dexter Morgan, and many others. It would be a stretch to call Tony an anti-hero. He’s not a hero, he’s a downright sociopath. But the way in which his character is presented is so painfully human that it’s hard not to resist becoming enthralled by him. Combine that with the downright legendary performance by the late James Gandolfini and you have one of the greatest television characters of all time. And we mustn’t give all the credit to Gandolfini. Every cast member on that show gives the performance of a lifetime. In my opinion, «The Sopranos» is THE greatest show of all time.
