There is a lot about living in the modern world that can make us feel dumb. There are so many things happening all the time that we are a lot more aware of than we might have been if we were born several generations ago, but we are still not well-informed about. We have the dubious fountain of knowledge that is artificial intelligence to answer our every query instead of doing our own research about it, and on top of that, we get fed daily slop on our social media platforms of choice to really shake us down for our last remaining brain cells. 

It is a bleak state of affairs, and perhaps we shouldn’t encourage it, but if we are going to take a blow to our intelligence, let us at least do it in a way that is entertaining. That is the stance that memes take, and we have to get behind it.
