29-year-old bride demands her cousin let her host her wedding in her pottery studio, badmouths her to her family when she refuses: ‘My studio isn’t licensed for events like that and the cleanup would be a total nightmare’

It’s easy to sit around and contemplate your dream wedding venue. Wouldn’t it be swell to get married in the Metropolitan Museum of Art or at Notre-Dame de Paris? Of course, we know as mere civilians we can’t afford to have a wedding at these places, and the risk of being around such precious artifacts is way too high. Would you trust your Great-Aunt Sally with a slice of cake around Edgar Degas’ paintings? I think not.

While you might never get your dream wedding venue, there’s no harm in asking! Perhaps your favorite restaurant hosts events of that size and importance, and it may even cost less than a typical wedding venue’s rate. But if the Chili’s on I-95 doesn’t let you do a bouquet toss in their business, there’s no reason to pitch a fit about it. After all, exchanging vows is not what Chili’s is made for.
