Making our dreams a reality proves to be more difficult than we could ever imagine, especially if that dream is starting a small business under the capitalist machine that chews up small businesses and spits them out like expired food. Corporations usually always win, so it’s important to rage against the machine while also being realistic about your business goals. The concept of supply and demand is real, and I fear there is no deficit of nail salon techs in the world at this very moment—I could be wrong, though. Let this story be a cautionary tale—you should never bite off more than you can chew on a loan that isn’t under your name.

The sibling in this story refuses to bail his sister out after she blew $20k on a nail salon business that failed soon after it launched. She kept up the charade for as long as she could, but as she was trying to hide the failure, she also failed to make payments on the loans.
