Although I was the perfect age to see it when it was first broadcast, I didn’t watch Avatar until I was an adult. Me and my roommate were quarantining and he had the complete DVD box set, so it seemed like too much of a perfect opportunity to pass up. I must admit I was skeptical at first, but our binge-watching sessions soon became the highlight of my day. Not to be too much of a Disney adult about it, but it’s a testament to the quality that it is so enjoyable to watch whether you’re young or old.

This is reflected in the mega amount of memes that can be found about the show. Never mind the fact that it ended sixteen years ago, or even that its spinoff is over a decade old. We can’t help but dip back into the lives of Aang, Katara, Sokka, and more with internet humor. Make like Uncle Iroh and brew some fresh tea to enjoy these memes.
