One of the best things in life is picking up food to go eat at home. You can’t convince me otherwise. Sure, delivery is nice when you really don’t feel like getting out of bed, but there is something so deeply satisfying about walking to a restaurant, picking up your order, and walking home knowing you’re about to feast upon arrival. It’s like you’re crossing a dangerous river to come back to your stable homestead. It makes the food taste just a little bit better. Plus, you get to have a little moment of community with the restaurant. 

They know you’re about to go home and enjoy their food. They’re happy for you. They want you to come back again. They put a little extra love into what they’re cooking. Life is good, if even just for a little while. Everything is going to be okay, even if just for a moment.
