Sometimes, we only have room for a limited amount of mirth. For one reason or another, we can’t go overboard on the laughter: it is important to save our amusement for a certain time and place. When you need to enjoy your life in bitesize chunks, memes are of course the most appropriate response. We see them, consume them, and go back to our lives safe in the knowledge we’ve had an appropriate pick me up. We don’t need to keep within the boundaries too much though. It’s OK to push the boat out from time to time, like going through an entire random meme list.
