It is quite possible that this week is one of the most likely weeks of the year for people to be sick of food. When Thanksgiving has been a culinary free-for-all, and they have spent the entire weekend ploughing through the leftovers, the last thing many will want to think about is what to eat, and even less how they are going to cook it.

Nonetheless, our need for sustenance continues to be a thing, and on top of that, there is the indulgence of Christmas to think about now as well. We still have to get into the kitchen every once in a while, and perhaps we can summon up the enthusiasm for this by adding humor into the mix. They remind us that cooking is fun and eating is one of life’s great pleasures, even if we occasionally take it too far and are ready for a break now and then.
