Being a cat lady is no easy feat. While some people use the term in a derogatory manner as if we’re resigned to a spinster’s future and kitty litter-covered floors, being a cat-obsessed woman definitely has its challenges. For one, going on trips freely. When I head out for a vacation, I’m forced to give …

Explain Like I’m 35: What is Alienposting? (May 7, 2023)
Look, we all like things that are cute, and for its many faults, the internet is pretty good at disseminating content that is cute. Adorable pets and wholesome moments aren’t usually hard to find, and that’s a good thing! However, it has to be said that these things can get repetitive after a while. When …

Frog Memes For Froggy Friends
Ribbit ribbit, y’all. Is it just me, or have any of you realized how much more popular frogs have become in the past five years? I’m talking about overall popularity in culture; frog memes, frog-inspired fashion, and the approval rating for frogs are all up. All these things have increased dramatically over the past few …

The Best Animal Memes of the Week (May 6, 2023)
The worst thing about animals is that they can’t talk. I know there have been a couple of scientifically studied gorillas and dogs on TikTok who can say words, but that’s not the same thing as talking. Humans are the only species that can speak in a grammatically coherent way, and that’s a damn shame. …

It’s that time of year again, folks. The snow has finally melted, the sun is shining, and the migratory birds are back in town. Geriatric Memes For Middle-Aged Posters
Memes are widely regarded as a young person thing. This makes a lot of sense, as people under 40 are the largest consumers and producers of memes by a long shot. Memes have been with us since we were teenagers, and we aren’t letting go of them anytime soon. But what about all the people …

Bunny Memes For Those Counting Down to Next Easter
There are very few holidays with an animal mascot. Christmas has reindeer, but they are total side characters in the overarching Christmas narrative. Halloween has some bats and black cats, but they’re nothing compared to Jack O Lanterns or witches. Easter is the only holiday I can think of that says, «A giant bunny man …

Weekly Cat Memes Full of Feline Funny (April 26, 2023)
I never thought I would be a cat person. My mom, a staunchly anti-cat dachshund lover, was not shy about her contempt for all felines. She’d recoil when neighborhood cats would come to her for affection, and loudly point out any time she got a whiff of disgusting cat piss. Basically, I was taught that …

Wholesome: Escaped Dog Goes on a Shopping Spree With Big-Hearted Neighbor
Whether you live in a city or a suburb (or maybe even somewhere more rural) chances are you’re at least somewhat acquainted with your neighbors. Well, if they’re not total maniacs who give off threatening auras. As much as I like my human neighbors, however, I’m far more excited about their pets. And you bet …
