Sometimes things just fail. We don’t know why. Sometimes we put so much into something, and he just can’t get anything in return. You know this if you’ve ever tried to assemble IKEA furniture. Design is incredibly important, and you know that if you’ve ever lived in a house where you could not stand the decor. Maybe it was full of tchotchkes and the thin layer of dust, and you’re a minimalist. Or maybe it was all cold concrete and steel beams, and you missed the warmth of a …

We’re all familiar with lying to help a situation go a little smoother. Who among us hasn’t done that? I am liable to do that in the back of taxis most of all. Sometimes it feels like a convenient place to lie, especially when they ask what I do for work. I rarely, if ever, …

It’s the little things in life that add up to the big things. You may not think that a difficult-to-open jar of peanut butter could change your life, but it can. Sometimes you just need the straw that breaks the camel’s back. And that straw can be a piece of bad design. You know exactly …

Sometimes seeing is not believing. Sometimes it takes a little bit more convincing, especially these days. I mean back in the early days it was easier to believe things that you saw, especially online. But the minute that there have been humans, there has been deception and trickery.
