Why would they do that?

If there’s one piece of tattoo advice I’d give, it’s never to tattoo someone’s name on your body. I don’t care if it’s your wife’s name or your kid’s name. There’s a big chance you’re going to regret it. If you and your wife divorce, you can get a cover-up tattoo, but it will always simmer just beneath the surface of your new tattoo. If your kid changes their name, you’re going to be a constant reminder of the name they don’t want to be called by. At least with kids’ names, you have a better chance of not regretting it. 50% of marriages end in divorces, and with those odds, I don’t think I want to tattoo anyone’s name onto my body, even if I believe we will be together forever. 

The person in this story took to Twitter to share a wild text they received from their ex-girlfriend about the tattoo of her name they got covered up. She found out about it, and she’s not pleased.
