I am a firm believer that family vacations are a recipe for disaster, especially when said family doesn’t really know what they are getting into as they agree to go on vacation together. Usually, either mom or dad sets up the vacation, they invite their children and their families, and they agree without really knowing what it entails.
If you decide to join your family on a vacation, make sure to get all of the details first. Where are you sleeping? What are the sleeping arrangements? What activities do they have planned? Who else is joining? Trust me, asking these questions is a must if you do not want to be disappointed or cornered into situations you do not want to find yourself in. It is also a way to fix in advance any issues that may present themselves during the vacation, like the sleeping arrangement. Something that could have definitely been talked about before this family in the story below decided to go on a summer holiday together.
