Estranged family friend asks woman to leave her mother’s funeral and find a t-shirt she’d left at their home 5 years ago: ‘We never talked to her again’

Normally, when you attend the funeral of a loved one, you can barely keep your focus on anything. Your brain is firing things off left and right, and you don’t know what to think or how to get around yourself. Why? There is no uneven ground right now, at least, in the emotional sense. All you know is that you’d happily forfeit all worldly possessions to keep them here with you.

Others, well… They are focused on their worldly possessions and how to get them back from the deceased. What do you do if the deceased is your mother, and the entitled funeral guest is her estranged friend? Tell her to get the heck out of there.

When this woman loses her mother, a funeral follows. The estranged friend warms up to her during the funeral proceedings, bonding over old stories and moments that have passed. Then, she insists that the woman leave the funeral and find a shirt that she had left with her mother five years earlier. Yes, you heard that correctly.

There are many things to do in a moment like this, but the woman’s father did what we all wished we could do ourselves: Toss it out. Scroll below to read the entire story.
