You know those people who can’t help but call everyone «dude» and «man,» causing them to get criticized in corporate settings for using gendered language? That’s me, but for feminine signifiers. You cannot tell me that every man, woman, and child is a diva, a girlie, and a mama. I will call full-grown straight men «girl» if I want to, and I’m not ashamed of that truth. I’m clearly not alone, as women everywhere are embracing their femininity through slang, just one of the many ways we girls can express girl power in the modern age. 

It’s a great time to be a girl online. We’ve got our own little enclaves of the internet where we can be ourselves without negative Nathans yucking our yums (Hello Cheezcake!).
