Funny Posts From Old People Who Haven’t Mastered Social Media

My grandmother never fails to impress me. At ninety three years young, she has (sort of) figured out Facebook – wishing all of her thirty-six friends happy birthday, and sometimes, happy birthday in heaven. While it’s great to see her keeping in touch with friends from Tufts (most of whom have fallen victim to Ray-Ban scammers), sometimes she says or posts things that seem a bit questionable, or are altogether misspelled. And while I feel kind of bad, I can’t help but laugh at the entertaining blunders.

While I may be biased regarding my family’s geriatric goofiness,  my «Grammy Lois» is definitely not alone. There’s an entire segment of the internet that is really just trying their best to be current and keep in touch with loved ones – especially since the pandemic made it so challenging for vulnerable people to even exist in the outside world. Thanks to Reddit and Facebook groups, we can experience a wealth of this special brand of silliness without having to look for it. These examples are some of our favorites of late. We hope that you appreciate the humor in their ineptitude.
