Female royals are always judged on the outfits they wear, and it’s fair to say that most of the time they keep things boring. Not every event calls for a Revenge Dress moment, after all. When the Duchess of Cambridge attended the Earthshot Prize on Friday in an off the shoulder number, she probably didn’t think twice about whether it was an appropriate choice. 

However, the internet thought differently. Unfortunately for her, the dress she was wearing was the perfect color for all different types of Photoshop antics, as @Annie_Wu_22 perceptively pointed out. It wasn’t long before Twitter users were in an editing frenzy, making the garment into all kinds of different things. While the whole thing might be a stylist’s full-blown nightmare, it provided no shortage of entertainment for the internet. Red carpet looks have always been fair game for memes, and being part of a royal family isn’t going to change that.
